With 49 people shot in 33 incidents, including 8 fatalities, over the weekend in Chicago, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke is once again invited to provide an unfiltered professional opinion as to what is going on in that city and our nation as a whole.
Sean Hannity points out that the political opportunist currently occupying our White House has no problem in recognizing a budding ISIS apprentice who brought a dismantled clock to school as a terrorist prank, but that he is “utterly silent on the issue of out of control inner city violence; every time.”
Sheriff Clarke, not one given to misrepresenting the facts, recognizes that the numbers are staggering, characterizing the level of violence in Chicago now as being an epidemic. He notes that if it were a tornado that had inflicted similar damage the response would be much more robust. As it is, with Obama’s former chief of staff as Mayor, in Obama’s adopted hometown, all that is forthcoming is a Rahm Emanuel shoulder shrug and attacks on the Second Amendment.
Clarke says it’s exhibit “A” in the case that to Obama and his political cohorts, black lives do not matter. He also agrees that the attacks on police “have a lot to do with” the spike in violence, that due to the Obama driven “war on police,” that cops are less assertive in the conduct of their policing.
He points out that the Democrat anti-police mayors in Chicago, New York and Milwaukee need to stand behind their police departments and until that happens, things will only continue to deteriorate.
He points to the only gun problem being that the law abiding citizens are not armed and the thugs are. That is as a direct result of the anti-gun Democrat authoritarians who have found their way into power and who are using gun violence as a tool to attempt to disarm the American people.
